About Us
^Here we were enjoying a trout fishing trip on the White River in Arkansas, but we also enjoy hunting upland bird, waterfowl, turkey, and deer. Bird hunting is perhaps our favorite and have been on a renowned kennel's list for a few years to add a German Wirehaired Pointer!

My name is Megan Miller-Gloshen, and I live on a farm in SE Kansas raising Limousin & Lim-Flex cattle, Katahdin & Easy Care sheep, and Australian Cattle Dogs with my Husband Nick Gloshen. Outside of our farm, we also work in the Agronomy industry, Nick as an Agronomy Manager and Senior Agronomist for a local CO-OP chain, and myself as a District Sales Manager for a Seed Genetics company & Agronomist.
I was first introduced to the sport of purebred dog competition in 2000 and immediately fell in love with agility and dreamed of showing at Westminster. In 2003 I started actively competing in agility & obedience with my young Beagle, but given my need for a herding breed on my family farm, I set out researching breeds and quickly stumbled upon the "Australian Cattle Dog" for which I previously only knew of them as Blue Heelers. I can still recall many nights of my Father tucking me into bed, and I'd ask him what his favorite breed of dog was. He would always reply, "the Blue Heeler because they are tough on cattle" and so he started this LOVE I have for Australian Cattle Dogs at a young age. Although I grew up with a blue heeler, or two, at my heels over the years, in 2005 I finally purchased my first registered Australian Cattle Dog and have been irrevocably owned by them ever since. I have a profound fondness for a dog BRED FOR A JOB, either herding, hunting, scent work, etc and I am proud to showcase my dog's soundness in the breed ring, instinct and ability in the herding arena, and trainability in other companion competitions, such as agility and rally sports. We do NOT buy/breed our dogs for a time then move them on to new homes; what dogs you see on our site are our life-long family members. However, the Australian Cattle Dog breed is not for everyone; they require a firm and knowledged hand to lead them, as well as an active lifestyle to stimulate their mental and physical needs. Since 1979, we've been successfully raising registered Purebred Limousin & Limflex cattle to best compliment the professional show circuit and developing genetics that better suit the commercial cattlemen's needs. |
